Mr. Parker was a law editor for the Michie Company legal publishers which produces law reports, state codes and other legal texts. Mr. Parker also handled civil and criminal cases for a law firm in Virginia. r. Parker practiced law in New York City, specializing in international business litigation. He represented foreign banks as well as a shipping line owned by a foreign country.
In Los Angeles, Mr. Parker has handled medical malpractice cases and civil litigation. Currently, he specializes in toxic tort and products liability litigation. He is of counsel to the Firm in the Los Angeles office.
Mr. Parker was born in Wellington, New Zealand and speaks French. Mr. Parker received his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1973 from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He received a Master of Laws degree in 1979 from the University of Virginia, and a Diploma in Comparative Law from the Faculte Internationale du Droit Compare at Strasbourg, France.
In 1973, Mr. Parker was admitted to the bar in New Zealand. Also, he is admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions: Virginia, U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia and U. S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, 1981; District of Columbia, 1982; New York, 1983; U. S. District Court, Southern District of New York, 1984; California, 1985; U. S. District Court, Central and Southern Districts of California, 1987. He is a member of the American bar Association.
