CHRISTINE M. NORTH

Professional Summary

Ms. North has significant and successful trial and arbitration experience in the defense of asbestos personal injury and wrongful death claims; products and premises liability claims; and accident injury and medical malpractice claims. Ms. North has experience prosecuting insurance fraud claims and in the defense of insurers in coverage and bad faith. Ms. North gained her initial trial experience as a criminal prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office (1988-1993). In that office, Ms. North’s trial practice focused on large conspiracy cases. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. North focused on the area of insurance fraud, handling a variety of matters, which included arson and the falsification of injuries, accidents and death. In the past 11 years, Ms. North has tried a series of several consolidated and mass claimant trials, as well as individual product liability cases, throughout the United States, with consistently successful verdicts. Ms. North has expertise in mass tort litigation management and serves as National and Strategic Counsel for some of the Firm’s clients.

Ms. North earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1985, including one year of study in London, U.K., at the Concannon Program of International Law. She graduated, cum laude, with a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1982. She is admitted to the California and Massachusetts bars, all Federal Bars in California at the trial and appellate levels and the Federal trial bar in Massachusetts. Ms. North regularly speaks at asbestos litigation and asbestos medicine seminars with special reference to medical and scientific expert work up and trial testimony as well as trial work in general. Ms. North is published in the area of international trade.

Ms. North is a Partner in the Firm’s New England office but spends a large portion of her time in the San Francisco office.
