Christopher M. Sargoy is an associate in the Los Angeles office. He practices toxic tort, asbestos, and environmental litigation. Before joining Pond North, Mr. Sargoy was an associate at a civil litigation defense firm where he defended wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, copyright, and premises liability cases. Mr. Sargoy has experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions, and conducting all aspects of trial preparation.
Mr. Sargoy graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies. In addition to his course work, Mr. Sargoy played three years of NCAA Division I baseball for UMass-Amherst. He earned his Juris Doctorate with cum laude honors from Michigan State University College of Law in 2013. At Michigan State, Mr. Sargoy won three Juris Prudence Awards for the highest grades in Constitutional Law I, Trademark, and Constitutional Law Seminar. By recommendation from one of his law professors, Mr. Sargoy tutored foreign LLM students in Copyright and Intellectual Property law.
Mr. Sargoy was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2013, and the United States District Court – Central District of California in 2014. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Sargoy lives in Los Angeles and enjoys playing baseball and watching college sports.
