Russell Schatz specializes in general civil litigation, complex product liability, and toxic tort litigation. His primary area of focus has been defending corporations against claims involving the exposure to asbestos, silica, benzene, and other toxic substances. In addition to toxic tort defense, he also has experience in insurance-related matters, including premises liability, construction accidents, general liability, product liability, automobile liability, and construction defect.
Mr. Schatz graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1984, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 1987, he received a Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health from California State University of Northridge. In 1991, he earned his Juris Doctor at Western State University College of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in that same year.
Mr. Schatz is a member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He is admitted to practice law before the courts of the State of California, and the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
